Ellerslie Primary School

This project was the conversion of an existing classroom in Block 3 to a new Library. The existing structure was retained requiring interior refurbishment of the space with new fixed library shelving.

The main focus of the refurbishment was the LED Lighting in the roof space, a Library tree, and the round cubby spaces built into the shelving. The cubby spaces big enough for the little children to sit inside and chill out.

The space is a large open plan area with a small break out space for quiet reading and one-on-one learning.

The wonderful purpose built MDF Tree with Led Lighting, a fun place to sit under and quietly read is a focal point of the space.

The LED lighting can be changed by remote control, changing colours and controlled separately in each zone. This is a library that the school will enjoy for many years to come.
