Bayswater School

Construction of a new single level new 4 classroom MLE building and a new special needs satellite building, all on the Bayswater School site.

The special needs satellite classroom unit incorporated HD bathrooms; hoist; indoor teaching and play areas and a purpose designed kitchen. Outside includes a fenced soft fall play area.

The project included a large carpark extension; drop off bays; external Accessible ramp and a bus bay extension.

The classroom block was a new MLE block with break out rooms; resource rooms; new kitchen and open exposed trussed roof.

The works were staged between the 2 buildings, to allow maximum use of subcontractors and supplier resources.

The project was managed within an operating School. Astley implemented a robust Health & Safety plan with open communication throughout construction with both Schools and all stakeholders.
